At PDC, our motto is “Be Better.” We encourage our students to be better than they are today and assist them in their progress by providing a new experience in dance and cheer.  Our focus is on turning the artist into an athlete and the athlete into an artist.  Whether a beginner or competitor, all of our students are trained to be their best everyday!

Curriculum — We are one of the few studios that uses class curriculum.  Our curriculum is unique and has been developed based on principles from the professional industry and combined with actual motor development concepts and biomechanics principles.

Efficient  Classes — Our classes are shorter in length than some facilities to cut down on wasted time and increase focused training.  Kids of this generation can handle more complex material if distributed in shorter amounts of time.  This method also allows for more training for less money.

Staff Training and Development — We are one of the few studios that require continuing education for our staff.  We also have assistant training programs to help aspiring students meet their educational and professional goals.

MONETT TBA SHORTLY

This post is a little long, but I felt I should share…this isn’t an advertisement (okay, well, there’s a small reference to classes a little later, but we’ll get to that, you’ll see).  So if you are a chamber or business on our mailing list, there is no need to send this out, this is just food for thought for my PDC readers.

We lost an amazing person in my family last week.  Her battle with cancer ended and we have all taken comfort in the fact that she has moved on to a much better place after a long fight.  This event has forced me to reflect on a lot this week, it shouldn’t….as I should remember the important things we all often “forget” in the busyness of day to day life, but nonetheless, I nosedived into reflection mode.  This woman was my sister’s beloved Grammy, my stepmother’s dear mother and friend, and to me…she was someone that led her life by example influencing many along her path in a truly positive way.  I’ve seen her influence in my sister and stepmother as they handled the circumstances as Grammy would have…with such beauty, strength, and grace and with God.

I’ve reflected on the effect all of these women have had on me and how very grateful I am that God put them into my life to influence me.  I think about what a different person I may have become if not for their influence in my life.  I realized that for me, Grammy had always been a positive influence of a strong business woman.  Both my sister and stepmother have influenced my relationships…they have taught me the value of family.  My mother has instilled in me strength and my husband has taught me vulnerability and my beautiful baby girl (pictured above) has taught me about true love.

Up to this week, I have been stressing about handling everything with opening new locations, the Pineville studio is a mess, I need to renovate, making sure students are enrolled, paying the bills, I haven’t contacted the appropriate people for classes tomorrow etc, etc, etc…trying to make sure everything is just right to please everyone and be sure I was “on top of my game.”  This is typical for any business owner, or any mother for that matter, but I realize now how I am just surrounding myself with negative influences as I take the “I have to be everything to everyone road.”  I just want to encourage all of you to surround yourselves with the people that really matter in your life…the people who cheer you on, the people that love you no matter what, the people that are always there during the fall, AND the rebound, the truly loyal people in your life that give you that positive influence EVERYDAY!  For me, it’s my family….

So, I took Wednesday off and went swimming with my sister, stepmother, cousin, and our babies.  I took Thursday off and hung out with my daughter and husband.  I took Friday off to celebrate the life of Grammy and be there for my family that is always there for me.  AND I took Saturday off to, well, do NOTHING!  And today, I’m completely satisfied in knowing that I’m not perfect and things won’t always be “just right.”  I just need to be good enough, and God will take care of the rest.

So, if you are free next week, we have a lot of activities going on…Baby Ballet runs Mon-Fri from 10am-1pm, we have Mini and Junior Dance Intensives running Tues-Fri night, and Cheer/Tumbling on Mondays….check it out on www.mypremierstudio.com and you can get registered online, or just show up for class!  If your summer is like mine with a crazy schedule, we’ll catch you this fall!  Classes start August 16^th in Pineville and we are opening 2 new locations in Monett and Neosho.  Stay tuned in to receive all of our enrollment information next week, I know that many of you have been asking and recruiting for me!  A big thank you goes out to all of our supporters!
